Keith Getty and his wife Kristyn are among the preeminent modern hymn composers of this generation. Best known for “In Christ Alone” (by Keith Getty and Stuart Townend), they are writers of an acclaimed repertoire of 21st century hymns revered both for their theologically astute lyrics and universally beloved melodies. They have shared their music at Franklin Graham crusades and the GMA Dove Awards, as well as feature performances at London’s Royal Albert Hall and the legendary Grand Ole Opry.
Keith & Kristyn’s latest work is Hymns for the Christian Life, a thematically-focused original collection showcasing Irish melodies as well as American bluegrass and country music influences. It is their most personal album to date, exploring themes of work, family, money and social action. The collections features noteworthy collaborations with Alison Krauss, Ricky Skaggs, Moya Brennan and fiddle virtuoso Ross Holmes.
Hailing from Northern Ireland and now residing in Nashville, the couple welcomed their first child, Eliza Joy, last year.
