Mike Timmis is Chairman of Prison Fellowship, succeeding Chuck Colson.
Born in Detroit, Mike was senior partner of the law firm of Timmis & Inman LLP and vice-chairman of a privately-owned manufacturing company with extensive real estate holdings. A member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan, Mike is President of the Archdiocese of Detroit Endowment Foundation, Inc. and Trustee of the Pope John Paul II Cultural Center. He helped found the National Fellowship of Catholic Men.
Mike’ autobiography Between Two Worlds: The Journey of an Evangelical Catholic, published in 2008, is a fascinating, vulnerable account of his life before and after he found faith in Christ. He writes openly of his preoccupation with legal and business matters at the expense of marriage and family.
