Michael Tremain is a Managing Partner at Sovereign’s Capital where he leads the firm’s lower middle market private equity practice. Sovereign’s Capital is a diversified asset manager focused on matching faith-aligned capital with faith-aligned entrepreneurs. At their core, the partners at Sovereign’s Capital believe that capital equals influence and we should steward capital toward business leaders capable of expanding their faithful presence in the marketplace. Michael concentrates on investment sourcing, portfolio optimization and investor relations.
Michael’s career includes stints with Andersen Consulting, the Walt Disney Company, Hard Rock Cafe International and TrinRock Capital. He has also led a number of privately held companies from a broad range of sectors including technology, wholesale distribution, residential construction, oil & gas, healthcare and commercial services.
Michael earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his master’s degree from the London School of Economics. He serves as the Chairman of the New Canaan Society and as a Trustee of the Maclellan Foundation. He and his wife, Kristin, live in Lookout Mountain, GA and have four children, Noah, Jake, Chapel and Brooks.
