Tom recently retired from a 37-year career in banking and is in the process of discerning how God wants him to spend the next season of his life. He is currently the Managing Partner of Narrowgate Partners, an organization with no revenue and no employees, but which has tremendous potential. One of the first things Tom did upon “retirement” was to write a book for his children titled: The Narrow Gate–Fatherly Advice for Navigating the Pathway To Your Best Life.
For the last twenty years, he ran the US Leveraged Finance business at Citi (2010-2021), HSBC (2008-2010), and Deutsche Bank (1987-2007). In his job, he spent time with clients, including the largest private equity firms, debt investors, and US corporations. In addition, he was a member of the Underwriting Committee, managed a team of roughly 75 individuals, ran college recruiting for Capital Markets, interacted with regulators, and managed capital allocation.
He has been on the leadership team of the Manhattan chapter of NCS since its inception in 2008 and has served on the Board of Directors of NCS since 2012, including as Chairman from 2017-2019. He is currently an active member (and youngest attendee) of the Naples Chapter.
Tom also serves as President and is a founding member of Faith in Financial Services in New York, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the NY Salvation Army. Tom received his BS degree in Finance from Indiana University, where he currently serves on the Dean’s Council of the Kelley School of Business, and his MBA from the University of Chicago. He and his wife Kim reside in Naples, Florida, and they have three adult children, Jenna, Tara, and Jonathon, and 4 grandchildren.
