Walt Wilson is the founder and chairman of the Internet ministry Global Media Outreach (GMO). He was previously co-founder, chairman and CEO of Exclaim Technologies, Inc., an applications service provider in the business-to-business Internet market. Before that, he served as senior vice president and corporate officer of the consulting group Computer Sciences Corp. (CSC), a $16 billion, U.S. global corporation with 600 offices worldwide, employing over 100,000 people.
With over 40 years’ experience as an operating executive, Walt has served in a variety of management positions with three Fortune 50 companies. Prior to CSC, he was an early employee of Apple Computer, serving as managing director of U.S. operations as the company grew from just a start-up to a globally-recognized corporation with $5 billion in revenues. He has spent most of his career with Silicon Valley-based companies.
In addition, Walt is an international speaker at corporate management meetings, government conferences, universities and executive seminars. A past and present board member of many Silicon Valley corporations, he has also served on the board of Bob Buford’s Leadership Network in Dallas. Walt was chairman of the National Advisory Board for Christianity.com and authored the book, Internet Church. He is a contributing editor and monthly columnist for Christian Computing Magazine and is a member of the technology council of Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, CA.
Prior to his business career, Walt served three years active duty with the United States Marine Corps.
