On October 6 the brudders of NCS New Canaan will gather as a community of men for some fellowship and fun. We welcome back our brudder John Bishop, a former Captain in the United States Marine Corps who served in Vietnam and later in Okinawa. Since 1982, John has had a successful career in various financial service industries.
Come join your brudders at the Ten Twenty Post Oyster Bar and Bistro.

John Bishop is a 1965 graduate of the U. S. Naval Academy and a former Captain in the United States Marine Corps, having served with the 3rd Marine Division in Vietnam and later in Okinawa.
Since leaving active duty, John has had a successful career in the sales, marketing, and insurance industries. He was Senior Vice President for Institutional Sales at CNL Institutional Advisors, Inc., capping a career with the firm that spanned 23 years, from 1982 through 2005.
From 2005-2007 he worked as a consultant providing real estate investment advise to institutional investors. John’s focus since 2007 had been directed toward helping people gain a better understanding of the relationship they are intended to have with their work and their money.
In 2012 he joined the Sales and Marketing Team of Silver Portal Capital. SPC has specialized in raising capital for large real estate Funds and merchant banking for the real estate industry. Then in 2016 he moved to Colorado Financial Services Corporation in order to expand the number and types of products he could make available to clients.
His current focus is providing educational awareness to financial professionals on the unique benefits of Delaware Statutory Trusts as part of a 1031 Like Kind Exchange transaction.
More recently John has developed a strategy that utilizes the benefits of Delaware Statutory Trusts and 1031 Like Kind Exchanges as a way to increase philanthropy.
