Two recent Chapter Friday’s contained quite a few nuggets to remember (or catch-up on if you missed it)–one offered Biblical leadership lessons and the other a God story of living your purpose. Two different looks at how our work is integrated into our faith.
On April 1, our guest speaker, David Block (David’s talk is available under Resources–click HERE), a founder and the CEO of Previnex, shared the bumpy road that led him to living his God-given purpose as a Christian entrepreneur in the nutritional supplement industry able to use business to express Christ’s mission of loving the world and making all things new. His story is filled with deep valleys and extraordinary miracles that taught him the reality of God’s word and the security of his promises.
On March 18, our guest speaker Chris Kay (Chris’s talk is available under Resources–click HERE), President and CEO of the New York Racing Association, shared three key leadership lessons that have helped him turn around several organizations in very different industries. Chris explained that these lessons come from what he believes to be the greatest leadership book ever written–Paul’s letter to the Philippians.
