Having committed his life to the Lord as a young teenager, Alan Wright heard the unmistakable voice of God call him into the ministry as a college senior. Since that holy moment, Alan has served as a youth minister, and later, pastor of a vibrantly growing church in Durham, NC. In November 1996 he was called as Senior Pastor ofReynolda Presbyterian Church in Winston-Salem.
Alan grew up in Greensboro, NC, and is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, where he graduated with honors in 1984. He was educated at Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, GA, and was Valedictorian of his class.
He met his wife, Anne, at Chapel Hill. Anne, a Winston-Salem native, attended Carolina and graduated from Wake Forest University. The Wrights have two children, Bennett and Abigail who teach them about the “abundant life.”
Alan enjoys writing and has authored several books, including A Chance at Childhood Again, Lover of My Soul, The God Moment Principle, and most recently Shame Off You, a powerful book that uncovers the lie that steals our peace and joy.
