Bill McCartney

Coach is the founder and past President of Promise Keepers and former Coach of the University of Colorado football team. Coach is now the Chairman of the Board of The Road to Jerusalem. He is the author of four books, Ashes to Glory, Sold Out, Sold Out Two-gether, and Blind Spots. He has won numerous coaching awards during his career as a college football coach including consensus national coach of the year in 1989.

In 1996 he was inducted into the Orange Bowl Hall of Fame and in 1999 inducted into the Colorado Hall of Fame. Bill serves on the Board of Directors of Equip Foundation and Concerts of Prayer International.
In 1996, he was given the Layperson of the Year award from the National Association of Evangelicals.

Bill accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior in 1974 at a Campus Crusade for Christ meeting in Brighton, Michigan. Bill and his wife Lyndi attend Faith Bible Chapel in Arvada, Colorado. They have four grown children, Mike, Tom, Kristyn and Marc and 10 grandchildren.
