Christian “C.B.” Nagel and his wife Susan are full time staff members with Priority Associates (PA). PA is a ministry of CRU (formerly Campus Crusade) committed to reaching out to the executive, professional, and leadership communities. They have served with CRU for 39 years. For most of their first 10 years the Nagels ministered in the Washington, D.C. area- first with the high school ministry of CRU then a business & professional ministry of CRU. In 1984 they moved to Hartford, CT to start a lay ministry of evangelism & discipleship focused on the business & professional communities. In the Fall of 2005 they moved from Connecticut (CT) to the Eastern Shore of Maryland to start Priority Associates (PA) of CRU in Easton and in the Washington, D.C. area. C.B. continues to meet regularly (mainly by telephone) with a group of men who have been meeting for over 11 years. The group, which started when all the men lived in the Hartford area and has continued by telephone as its members spread out across the country, is now an NCS Energy Group and was instrumental in the production of the first “NCS Energy Group Playbook” that was launched at the 2011 NCS Annual Retreat.
While in Connecticut, C.B. served on the Executive Committee of the Billy Graham Crusade in Hartford(1985). After the Graham crusade, he started Urban-Suburban Cooperative Ministries in cooperation with others from the Billy Graham executive committee. For nine years he was a Trustee at The Master’s School, W. Simsbury, serving on the Spiritual Life Committee. He was Church Relations Coordinator for Mission Connecticut with Luis Palau, a statewide saturation evangelism campaign in 2001. After the statewide thrust with Palau, he started a Priority Associates ministry with other leaders from Mission Connecticut. Since moving to Maryland, the Nagels continue to guide, mentor & offer accountability for Priority Associates-CT.
In addition to their primary responsibility, providing local leadership for Priority Associates (CRU), the Nagels are passionate about helping people in the areas of purity, integrity & intimacy with God. Since 2010 they have been addressing the growing problem of pornography through the national office of CRU’s Leadership Development & Human Resources Department. They reside in Easton, MD.
C.B. grew up in a Christian home on a farm on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. He is a graduate of Western Kentucky University (WKU). It was at WKU that C.B. and his wife were trained in evangelism & discipleship by CRU and received the call to go into full-time Christian ministry instead of returning to the family agri-business in MD.
C.B. and his wife Susan have been married & partnered in ministry for 39 years. They have 3 children.
