Dale Hanson Bourke is a popular women’s speaker, author of five books, and a syndicated columnist and the former publisher for Religion News Service. She also serves as a marketing and communication consultant to humanitarian organizations. She was previously senior vice president of World Relief, where she helped establish the Women of Vision program, and also served as editor of Today’s Christian Woman magazine for 10 years.
Twenty-five years ago, when the glass ceiling for women in business was considerably lower than it is now and few Christian women considered professional careers, Dale Hanson Bourke did more than just consider a career. Much more.
She started her own magazine publishing company and operated it for 13 years. She served as the editor of Today’s Christian Woman magazine. Additionally, she has served on the boards of International Justice Mission, World Vision US and International, Opportunity International, the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability, and TheHighCalling.org.
Currently, Dale is president of PDI, a marketing and strategy consulting firm specializing in work with nonprofit organizations. She spends much of her time writing and speaking about AIDS.
Her latest book, Second Calling: Finding Passion and Purpose for the Rest of your Life, takes a look at midlife possibilities and how to find God in them.
