David Dunbar

December 10, 2015 by NCS

addition to his gift and passion for teaching, Dr. Dunbar serves the seminary as its president; in this role, he has revitalized Biblical Seminary to be a “catalyst for engaging Christians in dialog with postmodern culture.” Dr. Dunbar has used his platform as president to establish the Center for Emerging Church Leadership, a forum that creates opportunities for missional church leaders and pastors to make strategic connections.

In addition, Dr. Dunbar is actively involved in ministry to local churches and church plants. He preaches at churches throughout the country and is a popular conference speaker in the summer months.

Dr. Dunbar received a Master of Divinity degree from Biblical Theological Seminary, a Master of Theology from Westminster Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Philosophy from Drew University. He taught at Northeastern Bible College and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School before coming to Biblical Seminary in 1986. He and his wife, Sharon, have two daughters and two sons.
