David Pytches, former Vicar of the superchurch “St. Andrews” in Chorlyewood, England, longed to see the “spontaneous expansion” of the church in England as he had seen it happening in Chile, while Bishop there. Through a growing friendship with John Wimber, the founder of the Vineyard Church in the USA, he realized one of the keys was equipping ordinary Christians for ministry through the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit. He founded of New Wine conferences with his wife Mary, also a noted author in the field of Christian counseling and godly living. They chose the name “New Wine” to describe the new life in the Holy Spirit being offered. Rev. Pytches is the author of over 20 books including the bestseller Come Holy Spirit and has published his autobiography called Living at the Edge.
