Rev. Dr. Rob Reimer is Professor of Pastoral Theology at Alliance Theological Seminary in Nyack, NY and the founding pastor of South Shore Community Church in Brockton, Massachusetts, where he served as lead pastor for 22 years. Under Rob’s leadership, what began as a small group of eight believers mobilized on mission to start a new church, resulting in hundreds of people coming to faith in Christ. Many of the stories in his teachings and books come from the lessons learned planting and leading a church in New England – one of the most unchurched regions in the nation.

A gifted preacher and communicator, Rob is a sought-after speaker. He regularly speaks at pastors’ conferences, leadership retreats, mission fields, churches, and seminaries in the United States and abroad. His sermons are posted online and are accessed by people around the world.
Rob is also an experienced teacher. He teaches Soul Care at the Doctoral level and has taught various classes at the Masters level, including Personal, Professional and Theological Foundations for Ministry; Evangelism; Mentoring; Pastoral Methods; Person in Ministry; Soul Care; and Intimacy and Authority.
Rob was Ordained as a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ by the Christian and Missionary Alliance in 1993. He earned a bachelor’s degree in English from King’s College, a Master’s of Divinity from Alliance Theological Seminary, and a Doctorate in Preaching from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
Rob and his wife, Jen, live in the Nyack, NY area with their four children, Danielle, Courtney, Darcy, and Craig.
