Jeff Westlund is currently the National Representative – Senior Development Officer for PULSE Outreach, which is a ministry dedicated to speaking into the millennial generation’s search for meaning with the message that Jesus gives hope both for this life and the life to come. Prior to PULSE, Jeff served as head or assistant basketball coach at NCAA Division 1 programs (Bowling Green and North Dakota State University) as well as at Bethel University.
Jeff knows a lot about winning. He also knows a lot about losing. Such is the life of a Division 1 college basketball coach. Such is the life of a guy who has devoted himself to Jesus. At an early age, Jeff came to an “eternal life faith”. However, if you are looking for a fairy tale to follow, you may be disappointed. Jeff’s path through life has been paved by brokenness and marked by struggles and obstacles. Some of it Jeff points to and says, “yeah, I brought that on myself.” Other chapters he just chalks up to life on this earth. At any rate, Jeff is where he is, and who he is, because of how God has shaped him through all of this. Today, Jeff describes himself as a man who is continuously learning about God’s grace and discovering new and rewarding chapters of his life.
Jeff and his wife Michelle live in Mounds View, Minnesota, and recently celebrated 32 years of marriage. Spending time with his wife and 3 adult kids, working out, reading, traveling and being outdoors occupy his time away from work.
