Ken Shepard is the General Manager of the Bridgeport Bluefish professional baseball team and a Syracuse, NY native and St. Thomas University (Miami, FL) Sports Administration graduate. He has spent 23 years as a guest-centric minor league baseball executive and team minority partner focused on helping guests “create memories for a lifetime”. Ken says “It’s all about entertainment,” Two of Shepard’s operations won minor league baseball’s Larry MacPhail Promotional Award, given annually to the team that demonstrates the best promotional efforts in all of minor league baseball.
Shepard’s experience in sports include stops as General Manager in Geneva (Cubs), NY & Prince William (Yankees), VA. Vice President in Wilmington (Royals), DE, President, GM and minority partner in Atlantic City, NJ (Surf) and COO/GM in Savannah (Nationals), GA. He also owns SAS Sports, a sports marketing and consulting company where he served as a consultant to the Atlantic League during its formation. He most recently served as Vice President of Enrollment & Marketing at Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit, PA.
Ken is married and he and his wife have two children.
