Michael J. Nyenhuis serves as President of Americares, the world’s leading nonprofit provider of donated medicine and medical supplies.
For nearly 40 years, Americares has been responding to people affected by poverty or disaster with life-changing health programs, medicine and medical supplies. The health-focused relief and development organization reaches more than 90 countries and all 50 U.S. states each year with over $600 million in innovative health programs and quality medical aid.
Nyenhuis has oversight of all Americares offices worldwide, including its operations in the U.S., El Salvador, India, Liberia, Nepal, Philippines, Sierra Leone and Tanzania. A global health professional with more than 20 years of experience, Nyenhuis previously served as the president and chief executive officer of MAP International. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and a Master of Business Administration from Emory University.
