Nick DeMarco. From a career spanning men’s, women’s and children’s apparel; from couture to moderate merchandise; and from high-end specialty stores to mass merchant retailers, Nicholas De Marco’s (Nick) is recognized as a true visionary and leader within the fashion industry.
Nick has been the architect and author of numerous and well-publicized turn around situations, has invigorated design, revamped production, and expanded lines within bellwether companies like Halston and Pierre Cardin.
Nick is a recognized expert in re-branding initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, and licensing agreements.
He is a tested and insightful veteran who understands current market conditions, retail relationships, product development and potential brand success. With over thirty years of leadership experience, Nick was responsible for creating the iconic styles that defined a generation (the ‘Cardin Look’); structured highly lucrative strategic licensing programs for Cardin, Halston, Duck Head, and Nautilus (among others), and is a recognized expert in maximizing brand equity and profitability for trademark and brand owners in the apparel, accessory and consumer product areas.
Nick graduated from Temple University with a BBS, served as a 1st lieutenant in the U.S. Army, and successfully completed Saks Fifth Avenue Executive Training program. He dedicates his personal time as past chairman and current Board Member of New York’s Bowery Mission.
Nick is married and resides in Darien, CT. with his wife Anni.
