Richard E. Warren

September 28, 2020 by NCS New Canaan

Richard E. Warren (the “other” Rick Warren) is a follower of Jesus, strategic leader, and successful businessman.

Rick received a B.S. in Finance from Michigan State University. Upon graduation, he started his career at Ernst & Ernst (now Ernst & Young) before starting his own firm. In 1977 he founded Warren, Henderson & Co., P.C., a CPA firm specializing in tax and management consulting, and served as president and majority shareholder for more than seven years.

Additionally, he was a successful real estate developer through the 1980s, orchestrating the planning, financing, and development of more than 40 major projects throughout the Midwest.

In 1994 Rick took the helm of Weldaloy Products Company, an established, leading provider of custom copper, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metal forgings. Weldaloy serves global clients across a variety of industries, including aerospace, electronics, oil and gas, and more.

Rick also serves as Chairman & CEO of two consulting firms. Warren Strategies is a a private equity investment firm based in Southfield, Michigan, that seeks to provide strategy, management, and marketing services to middle market companies in Michigan, and the Great Lakes Region. Airo Partners serves nonprofit clients through the development of strategy, messaging, and funding. Clients include churches, Christian schools, mission agencies, and faith-based organizations.

Amid his entrepreneurship and business enterprises, Rick’s true passions are for people and the gospel. He is heavily involved with various ministries and nonprofit organizations around the country—many of which are involved in supporting education.

Rick is married to Sara, and they have two adult-age daughters. Rick enjoys reading, visiting family, spending time beside Lake Michigan, and following his Michigan State Spartans.
