Stephen Gilbert is a leading professional in strengthening marriages and families, developing teens, guiding men, and leading individuals out of addiction. A gifted communicator, Steve has taught and conducted countless seminars for organizations and churches on topics such as personal transformation, parenting, anger management, and healthy marriages. He has also helped lead and facilitate a countywide support group for pastors.
Steve currently works at the Greenwich Center for Hope & Renewal. Prior to working at the Greenwich Center for Hope & Renewal, Steve was Director of the Southern Connecticut Christian Counseling Center in Fairfield, CT, where he worked alongside local churches providing quality mental health care that is integrative to Christian faith and spirituality. Before entering the field of counseling, Steve spent 14 years on staff with the youth ministry, Young Life, where he was the Regional Director for Connecticut and Long Island. Steve is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and an ordained minister.
He holds a B.S. from Ohio State University and both an M.S. in Marital and Family Therapy and a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA. Steve is also a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapists.
