Jermaine Wilson is a national keynote speaker and former two-time mayor of Leavenworth, Kansas, whose life is a powerful testament to redemption and transformation. After spending seven years incarcerated—four in the juvenile system and three in prison—Jermaine joined Prison Fellowship during his incarceration, where he gave his life to Christ and discovered purpose in the midst of adversity.
Following his release, Jermaine committed himself to growth, service, and leadership, turning setbacks into steppingstones. His dedication to community impact led to the expungement of his record and ultimately to public office, where he made history by becoming the first formerly incarcerated person elected mayor of Leavenworth. He later served on the Kansas Sentencing Commission, bringing lived experience and a voice of hope to policy conversations.
Today, Jermaine challenges audiences to transform adversity into opportunity, believe beyond their past, and step boldly into their God-given potential. His message is one of resilience, purpose, and second chances—from lawbreaker to lawmaker.
Jermaine currently serves as Mission Ambassador for Prison Fellowship and is an ordained minister, devoted husband, father, and proud grandfather of two granddaughters.
